“Alfredo is very special and I do not say that easily because I have been surrounded by the best musicians in the world my entire life and he is one of the best.” (Quincy Jones)
“Nikki is the most talented singer since Judy Garland” (Tony Bennett)
Back by popular demand! Alfredo’s first sold out show at the Edye was introduced by Quincy Jones himself. Born in Havana, Cuba, Alfredo’s lucky break came in 2006 when he was selected as one of twelve pianists from around the world to play at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival. In Montreux, Alfredo struck a chord in legendary music producer Quincy Jones who noticed Alfredo’s immense talent and decided to begin working with Alfredo. In that short time, he has shared the stage with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Patti Austin, James Ingram, McCoy Tyner, Esperanza Spalding, Richard Bona, Lionel Loueke, and many more.
At 13, Nikki was the youngest singer ever to record for the prestigious Verve Records imprint on the Ella Fitzgerald Tribute album, We All Love Ella: Celebrating the First Lady of Song. Other artists on the album included Chaka Kahn, Natalie Cole, Michael Buble, k.d. lang, Diana Krall, Etta James, and Linda Ronstadt. By 14, Nikki had performed and recorded with the New York Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, Will.i.am, Wyclef Jean, and Herbie Hancock.
